ENOS signed recently a communication of the European Countryside Movement to answer to the European Commission Communication about the future of Food and Farming.
ENOS think that outdoor sports are a lever for the development of rural areas. In many areas these activities are part of tourism strategies with employment and economy benefits. But beyond that, outdoor sports can:
- encourage people to be active in contact with nature
- discover and enhance landscapes
- develop an environmental awareness- educate young people to know and love nature
- develop inexpensive equipment open to all
- reconnect urban and rural areas
The future of rural development financing is essential and ENOS is working with the European Countryside Movement (ECM) to defend it.
