We are excited to introduce our toolkit – a centralized source of interactive information that supports and teaches the outdoor sports sector to engage, connect and empower disadvantaged youth people.

This project has spent the past year(s) investigating and analyzing different initiatives that welcome disadvantaged youth as well as experiencing them ourselves. We have compiled that knowledge into this toolkit. As an employee, volunteer, outdoor lover, you can expect that this toolkit assists you in…

  • Inspiring you to reach out to new groups
  • Ensuring your programs are inclusive

Over the next weeks, we will share about the 3 main sections of the toolkit: Grounding for Success, Breaking Barriers, and Building the Outdoors. Find the toolkit here:

Next steps: working even closer with youth through our youth exchanges

Our youth exchanges are week-long trips for young people ages 18 to 25. We are flipping the script on our year of knowledge exchanges by giving the same opportunity to young people. These youth get to test out and experience different activities with the aim of leaving the exchange empowered and ready to continue a relationship to the outdoors.

During the next months, partner organizations will host an exchange in their respective countries, welcoming youth from another partner organization. Then, we switch! Not only will these youth enjoy outdoor adventures; cultural activities, interpersonal skills workshops and interactive environmental lessons will take place over the week, too.

New videos, testimonies and a Youth Manifesto will be published in the coming months.
