“Svenskt Friluftsliv has been appointed as host of the Euro’Meet 2026, which will be held on September 8–10 in Sundsvall. This is the first time the conference will be organised in Sweden – a milestone for the outdoor movement and a clear recognition of Sweden’s strong tradition of outdoor life, the right of public access and civil society engagement.” (Via TT, Sweden)
ENOS is delighted to announce that the eighth edition of the Euro’Meet will be held in Sundsvall, Sweden, from 8-10 September 2026. During three days the programme will feature all kinds of experts and actors from the outdoor sector, representing participants, organisations and authorities from different countries with a single mission: how outdoor recreation and outdoor living can contribute to a more sustainable, inclusive and healthy society.

Main theme of the Euro’Meet 2026:
In recent years, Euro’Meet has established itself as the leading event for the outdoor sector in Europe. The participatory approach gives participants the opportunity to engage in outdoor activities of all kinds and connect with outdoor enthusiasts and professionals from all corners of Europe. In addition, combined with working sessions where the roadmap and guidelines for the sector are discussed, there will be numerous workshops and inspiring presentations to build a joint vision for the outdoors.
The theme of this edition is: ‘Working together for sustainable and accessible outdoor sports and outdoor recreation for all!’ As in previous editions, this theme will be divided into three main sub-themes: Community, Accessibility and Inclusion.
The Host of the Euro’Meet 2026:
The organisers of this edition, Svenskt Friluftsliv, will bring their expertise and knowledge of the outdoors, where “Friluftsliv” also translated as “life in the outdoors” will be the concept around which the conference will unfold. The conference is arranged in collaboration with Sundsvall Municipality, the County Administrative Board of Västernorrland and the Nordic Network for Outdoor Activities (NON). Mid Sweden University is also participating with research in sustainable outdoor recreation, nature tourism and accessibility – and contributes to a program that mixes theory, practice and inspiration.
“We are incredibly proud to host EuroMeet 2026. This is a unique opportunity to showcase the strength of the outdoor movement, the right of public access and our ability to work together across sectoral boundaries for a more sustainable and inclusive society“
Josefine Åhrman, Secretary General of Swedish Outdoor Activities
